Rt. Hon. Victor Antai, the newly appointed Commissioner representing Akwa Ibom State in the board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), has expressed thanks to President Muhammadu Buhari for the confidence reposed in him, and promised to meritoriously discharge his assigned responsibilities.

The appointment was ratified, Tuesday, via a release signed by the Permanent Secretary (General Services Office), Olusegun A. Adekunle, Esq, on behalf of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

In a chat with our correspondent, Antai, a former Council Chairman of Mbo Local Government Area and Commissioner in Akwa Ibom State, said he is ready to work assiduously to ensure that the impact of the next level agenda of the federal government is felt in Akwa Ibom State through the NDDC.

“I commend Mr. President for entrusting me with this responsibility. I however don’t wish to personalize this appointment; the task is all about moving Akwa Ibom to the next level. Akwa Ibom State and her people should be rest assured of tangible progress under the current leadership of NDDC. I am ready to serve”, he stated.

Speaking further, Antai congratulated Senator Godswill Akpabio on his appointment as Minister of Niger Delta.

His words: “The appointment of Senator Akpabio as Niger Delta Minister is a big plus for the Niger Delta region. As an efficient manager of human and natural resources, Distinguished Senator Akpabio will up the ante of development in the region. The synergy between the Ministry and NDDC will bring uncommon progress to Akwa Ibom State. I join millions of his admirers to celebrate him on his uncommon elevation.”
